Wildstorm lives again! (sorta)

Well, Jim Lee promised it and he’s delivering so far. Not only was Lee tapped to redesign all the DC characters for this Fall’s massive DC relaunch, but he’s lent some of his Wildstorm creations into the mix as well. Here’s what we have so far:

Priscilla Kitaen has just found out she’s a monster. A half-alien hybrid, the woman known as Voodoo must confront the secrets of her past to make sense of the nightmare her life has suddenly become. VOODOO #1 will be written by Ron Marz with art by Sami Basri.

Stormwatch is a dangerous super human strike force whose existence is kept secret from the world. Jack Hawksmoor and the rest of the crew look to recruit two of the deadliest super humans on the planet: Midnighter and Apollo. And if they say no? Perhaps the Martian Manhunter can change their minds. Featuring a surprising new roster, STORMWATCH #1 will be written by the critically-acclaimed Paul Cornell (Superman: The Black Ring, “Dr. Who”) and illustrated by Miguel Sepulved

and the coup de grâce (for me anyway)…

Ex-black ops agent Cole Cash is a charming grifter that few can resist. And yet he’s about to be branded a serial killer when he begins hunting and exterminating inhuman creatures hidden in human form – creatures only he can see. Can the biggest sweet talker of all time talk his way out of this one when even his brother thinks he’s gone over the edge? Find out in GRIFTER #1

It is an understatement to say how excited we are here at Wildstorm Addiction. Just a few months ago we were saying goodbye in our last podcast but with this news, who knows, you may be hearing Ben and I gush about our love for these characters sooner than you thought. Stay tuned…

    1. What do you mean? Is it the comment form? If so try one more time, I swear it will work! I have to approve it first before it will show up.

  1. Man, I really HATED this MIX of DC universe with the Wildstorm universe, they should’ve stayed with the things the way that it was, with wildstorm being universe 50 and having their own Earth, history, heroes and villians. Now how the authority is gonna kill the villians if there is a Justice League to stop them all the f—ing time? The end of the Wildstorm was really a waste that could’ve been avoided, thanks to DC comics.

    1. I understand what you’re saying. A lot of us would’ve preferred to have the WSU separate but I can’t argue that sales were bad and something needed to be done. All I’m asking is for good stories for these characters being put into the DCU. Here’s to hoping!
