Ravagers #4

Another solid issue of Ravagers as the team’s confrontation with Brother Blood escalates. Seeds for DC’s upcoming crossover “Rotworld” are planted here and continue to show the connectedness of the New 52. My only disappointment with the issue is that we got filler artists and we’re only four issues into the series. But thankfully the fill-in artists were good so it didn’t’ detract from the story.

Grifter #12

Much like a true grifter, Liefeld and Tieri have been holding this issue close to their vest. After a frustrating start to their run, they bring their first arc to a close in grand fashion. Despite all the previous complaints about their run they manage to bring it all together and give us a nice conclusion while still setting up more for future events. Finally, a Grifter issue that I really enjoyed!

Stormwatch #12

Stormwatch hits a year of being on the stands in grand fashion. As the solicitation lets us know, Martian Manhunter isn’t sticking around anymore and the way in which he decides to leave is heart-breaking. It’s this kind of emotion that keeps this title in the tops books I pick up each month.

Voodoo #11

The countdown continues as we near the end of this series. The story is leading to the inevitable confrontation but the surprises and big revelations of the earlier issues are non-existence. Ultimately, the one factor left that’s the most interesting is how will the issue of two Voodoo’s existing in the DCU be solved?
