The end of the series comes with a very “safe” zero issue. The origins of Voodoo are not so much told as clarified as we build on things that were previously revealed in the series. The saving grace for this issue was the last page where Williamson returns to his strength from earlier in the series, which is the ability to leave us with a cool cliffhanger.

DC HeroClix: Batman-Warblade
Ok, so we talked about this over the summer but I said I wouldn’t post about it until we started getting some official pictures. Well, FINALLY we’re starting to get some (the set is coming out in November). So first up is Warblade. And like the other Wildcats in the set, its his classic look.
Grifter #0
Grifter’s zero issue turns out to be a major mind-screw and Liefeld and Tieri play with our senses, making the audience question what’s real and what’s not. It’s a very interesting technique and a bold choice for the zero issue. It’s not as epic as the last issue, but definitely sets up a ton of questions that carry us into the next arc for this series.
Team 7 #0
Zero Month in the New 52 also brings a new wave of books with it and one of those is Team 7; a legendary team from the old Wildstorm Universe. Much like a Mission Impossible movie, Justin Jordan is tasked with introducing (or re-introducing) lots of characters in this book. It’s a fast-paced issue that does its job well by not only being an awesome origin issue but also a great jumping on point for anyone who wants another chance to get into the New 52.
