The last two weeks have been a great time to be a comic book fan here in North Texas! We had two amazing conventions over consecutive weekends and they each were equally amazing! The highlight for me for Dallas Comic Con: Fandays was meeting Felicia Day (of the infamous web series The Guild, if you’ve never checked it out.) Fandays is a smaller con which can normally be completed in one day. Because of other commitments I had that weekend, my one day happened to be Sunday, traditionally the slowest day for most cons.
DC HeroClix: Batman-Voodoo
We go into Halloween week with yet another WildC.A.T.s figure from the upcoming Heroclix set. This time it’s one of my favorites, the sexy Daemonite-detector herself, Voodoo! She makes the 5th confirmed member of the WildC.A.T.s so far. Her dial seems to reflect her powers well. They also take into account her split Kherubim/Daemonite heritage which is pretty cool. They even go as far as to reference her Coda training with Zealot. I am so impressed by how much thought and research the designers have put into these figures so far.

DC HeroClix: Batman-Maul
We get the Wildcats heavy hitter this time as Maul makes his Heroclix debut. I personally would’ve liked him a giant figure, but it seems they worked his dial to represent his intelligent side as Jeremy Stone and then increasing his powers as his mass increases. Check out more on him here and be sure to check out his states below. I’m not as happy about the stats on this figure as the others so far. But the sculpts are still really good for this set and hey, we’ve got a Maul Heroclix figure so I’m happy!
