Stormwatch #8

Wow! Paul Jenkins did not waste any of his talent on this short two-issue run. It was obvious he not only set out to tell a good story, but I dare say he did a better job of it in two issues than previous writer Paul Cornell did in the previous six. I’m not trying to put down what Cornell did on the title but Jenkins did an outstanding job with what he had to work with.

Stormwatch #7

We trade one Paul in for another as new writer Paul Jenkins takes over the reigns from Paul Cornell. Jenkins is set to do a short two-issue story but he quickly shows us that he’s going to make the most of this little stint. Mix that in with some great art by guest artist Ignacio Calero and you’ve got another solid issue of this great series!

Stormwatch #6

Well, Paul Cornell’s run on Stormwatch ends with a bang…literally. I can’t say much without spoiling so let’s just say the team isn’t the only thing falling apart in this issue. Cornell leaves us with some cool moments but also leaves us with many more questions that hopefully future creative teams will pick up.

Wow! What an amazing issue! I thought Cornell had wrapped up the previous conflict last issue a little too quickly but now I know why he did. This issue had exactly what I wanted: good character moments, great action, and an amazing cliffhanger.
